Team building on a private boat: one boat, up to 33 colleagues, one day
A restaurant lunch runs out of conversation; a hike loses half the office. On a boat, the ones who want to play get in the water and the ones who want to rest stay on deck. Same boat, same day.
Why a boat works for a company day
The hard part of a company day out isn't the budget, it's the people. Some want to swim, some don't want sun, someone has to leave early. A boat solves this better than most venues: once it stops, the swimmers take the SUP and the inflatable, everyone else sits in the shade with food, karaoke and conversation, and nobody has left the group.
Headcount: up to 33
Headcount: up to 33 on the whole boat. That's one department or a small company. Over 33, split across two days or ask us what we can arrange.
Budget: whole-boat pricing
Budget: whole-boat pricing. The day trip is from $7,500 on weekdays, 10AM to 6PM. Most company bookings pick a weekday: $1,000 cheaper than the weekend, and far fewer boats out on the water. Divide it by 30 and compare it to a restaurant lunch yourself.
Food
Food: bring it, or have delivery meet you at the boarding point. There are tables on deck, so you don't need a conference-room buffet; lunch boxes and a few dozen cans do the job. Keep the receipts if someone's expensing it.
Keep the schedule loose
Don't over-schedule. Board at 10AM, arrive a bit after 11, play until around 4, karaoke on the way back. Nobody asks "what's next" because the boat is the activity.
